Shaping Meaning

Winter Silhouettes

Once you look for a shadow on a sunny day, you can’t help but see them everywhere. The photos I selected for this project, feel so still and cold, as winter can be. I intend on manipulating the images to transform them from cold to warm and winter to spring.

Shadows are accessible to everyone when the sun is out.  I can easily see students taking pictures of all sorts of shadows that include people, landscapes, etc. and manipulating them in a variety of ways. This could include, super-imposing them, creating a collage, adding color etc.

I like the sequence. Transition from cold to warm is a good idea.

I love the slide show and I can't wait to see what you do with spring!
